Audley Geo Smith

Audley Geo Smith frequently called Mr. Photo Smith was born in Craighead, Manchester, Jamaica West Indies. Audley has been painting from an early age of six years old. In 1972 he decided to make a contribution to the business world, so he ventured into Graphic Arts at the Edna Manley School of Visual Arts. He has earned  numerous gold, silver and bronze awards in different art competitions.

In 1997 Audley migrated to America where he became a member of ‘The Alliance of Queens Artist’. The 2nd year of his membership in the Alliance he became President of the group of 160 members.

His visit to Great Britain and France encourage him to approach art from a different prospective. Fascinated with Georgian style architecture he captured them with his camera then later painted them from the photographs. The artist has perfected fresh techniques that add increased movement and innovation to his works. His paintings illustrate the diversity and maturity of his artistic vision.

He later became a member of the Southeast Queens Camera Club, working with the Pros, attending workshops, mastering adobe elements, competing and earning high scores in monthly competitions has help him develop into a creatively matured professional with his individual style. 

Audley likes to record events, emotions, places or persons. He has worked directly with Dreams Up magazine for editorials.

Audley now owns and operate an Art Gallery and Photo Studio at 194-09 Linden Blvd., St. Albans Queens, where the best passport pictures are taken. He host the best Paint Party: He teaches Photography, Painting, makes Plaques and Trophies and is the best in Professional Picture framing. He has done fine art photography, street photography, documentary photography, fashion, weddings, photojournalism and commercial photography.

Audley says “To produce a visually compelling image a photographer needs more than creativity. You need to have good eye-sight, imagination, a good working knowledge of composition, lighting, camera and technical skill and a thorough understanding of the subject to accomplish success.”
